Tindog Tolosa was formed in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan (local name Yolanda) in November 2015. Tolosa is a coastal town in the eastern part of Leyte island, where the typhoon made its landfall. It devastated the whole town, and destroyed all houses, not to mention the sources of livelihood of the local people - fishing and coconut farming.
